“In 2004, I moved from the Milwaukee area and retired from full time professional music, so I’m no longer available as a Milwaukee pianist, since I live about an hour from Milwaukee, but I’m flattered that you’ve still had me on your list all these years!
“I’m currently actively subbing on organ and piano at my home church and on piano at other churches near Zion, IL where my husband and I are now living….
“For many years in Milwaukee, I thoroughly enjoyed working as Staff Accompanist for the Florentine Opera, independent Vocal Accompanist/coach, and Director of Music for Crossroads Church in Mequon.”
So, there you have it! It certainly is a loss to Milwaukee, as she was a valuable asset to the music community here. But I am happy that Janet is enjoying her well-deserved “retirement” (she still sounds pretty active!) in Illinois. Thank you, Janet, for all of the beautiful music you made here in Wisconsin!

Janet was amazing as an accompanist back in my days of singing with her. She accompanied our 2 hour master class sessions often in the UW Milwaukee recital hall when I was studying with Madame Yolanda Marculescu Stern. Great style, support and often a rare zinger to set the audience into hearty laughter.
