If you’re looking for the most reliable, kindest and most compassionate pianist in town, look no further! Anne Van Deusen really is a Milwaukee arts’ institution unto herself. She’s the staff accompanist for the Florentine Opera Studio program, she frequently music directs shows at Off the Wall Theatre, the Skylight and Milwaukee Opera Theatre, she’s the music director for St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church (and, by the way, they LOVE her there), and she plays for many area high schools as well. She’s got great chops and she’s one of the most prepared musicians I’ve ever known. All this aside, there are two qualities Anne possess that make her this month’s featured pianist: she’s a truly great musician and she has a heart of gold. Working with her reminds one what the whole business of music is about in the first place. I highly recommend you call Anne for you next gig.
