Alissa Rhode earned her Bachelor’s in Music Composition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s in Liberal Studies from UW-Milwaukee. Based in Milwaukee, she zigzags around Wisconsin working as a professional music director, arranger, composer, conductor, pianist and vocalist. Regionally, Alissa has worked with companies such as American Folklore Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, First Stage Children’s Theatre, Children’s Theatre of Madison, Door Shakespeare, and Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua. She is currently scoring two original musicals and frequently appears in cabaret and concert venues with The Rhode Sisters, a feisty folk trio. Alissa serves as Lead Music Director for the First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee and Eurythmy pianist for Tamarack Waldorf School. She also teaches private piano and voice lessons and is always looking for more students and gigs!
