Ann Basten holds a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano (vocal emphasis) from UW-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Music Education (piano emphasis) from UW-Whitewater. She just recently returned from Italy, touring with a select choir from St. Anthony on the Lake Parish, performing at St. Ignatius Church in Rome. Her role on this tour was both as accompanist and soloist.
Ann has fulfilled the role of music director and accompanist for several theatrical productions, including Mame, Hello Dolly, Oliver, The Face on the Barroom Floor, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Nunsense, Some Enchanted Evening,A…My Name is Alice, It’s a Grand Night for Singing, Jerry’s Girls,The Apple Tree, Spitfire Grill and The Music Man. She has also performed as accompanist for opera scenes from The Coronation of Poppea, The Magic Flute and The Ballad of Baby Doe.
Ann lives in Pewaukee where she teaches piano, is the Assistant to the Minister of Liturgical Music and leads the Contemporary Praise Group at St. Anthony on the Lake Parish. She enjoys collaborative playing and loves making music with those who share the same love.
