Brian Myers, Milwaukee Pianist

Milwaukee native Brian Myers is a versatile performer and composer with roles in musical theater, opera, drama, and many professional choral engagements to his credit. He works regularly as a music director and is an enthusiastic new teaching artist at First Stage
Children’s Theater. His one-act musical ‘STATUS: a music drama for the digital age’ had its premiere at the Riant Theatre in New York City in 2011, and is currently in development as a short film. This year he will appear or have his music performed with Soulstice Theatre, Patio
Players, Milwaukee Comedy Festival, and T.I.M.,:The Improvised Musical.

As a singer/songwriter, Myers finds his element playing a unique brand of New Orleans-stained rhythm and blues, “the type of piano man who makes indefinitely holding an audience’s attention seem absurdly simple” (Sheperd Express).
