I really cannot say enough superlative things about Ed.  What an interesting cat!  He’s a retired high school chemistry teacher who used to play piano in the hallway of the school while the students were changing class rooms.  He’s an amazing arranger, and he can transcribe anything.  He’s supportive of all of the arts in Milwaukee, and he’s been particularly supportive of me over the years – for which I am ever grateful.  AND, on top of all of that, he’s an amazing jazz pianist, with a style all his own.  His improvisations sound like the love child of Gershwin, Mozart and Ravel.  Absolutely delightful and unique.  I wish I owned a piano bar – he would be my house pianist.  Check out this clip of Ed playing the A Train…accompanied by an enthusiastic admirer.
